Health partners in the fight against HIV/AIDS are asking govt to slash condom prices to zero if not to amounts easily affordable by the lowest earner in the country.

Speaking to Henry Magala, the country programmes director, Uganda Cares on the matter, he says, condom affordability is very vital and this can be witnessed in the prices of the devises.

Currently the cheapest condom in Uganda goes for UGX.2000 which a low earning Ugandan cant afford and this makes accessibility and affordability of the devises difficulty.

Magala further notes that distributing condoms at no cost will help in the fight against HIV/AIDS since its cheaper to prevent compared to the cost of treatment per person.
