Two people  have been remanded to Luzira prison after being charged  with fraud for  using telephone lines belonging to Lands minister Persis Namuganza and minister for Agriculture Christopher Kyebazanga tgo defraud unsuspecting persons 

 The duo , employees of MTN Uganda ; Nasser Kigenyi  and Henry Mugambe  appeared before Buganda road court grade one magistrate Samuel Kagoda and denied 9 counts including Electronic fraud , computer misuse , unauthorised blocking of simcards and conspiracy to defraud .

Court has further heard that among other people whose sim-cards were used by the 2 suspects to con people are; Youth MP Mwine Mpaka and Mercy Kyankunda. These suspects have been now remanded to Luzira prison until 15th March 2017 as inquiries into this case are still on-going .

Prosecution led by Nelly Asiku states that in February this year , the two accused while in Kampala and Mubende unlawfully swapped sim-card numbers belonging to ministers Namuganza and Kibazanga and MPs Mwine Mpaka and Mercy Kyankunda and iallowed fraudsters to use them after blocking the lawfull registered owners . It's further alleged that the fraudsters  stole huge sums of money from the unsuspecting members of the public whom they would send Sms while pretending to be the registered users.
