PARLIAMENTARY COMMITTEE ON DISCIPLINE YET TO RECEIVE COMMUNICATION TO INVESTIGATE HON. ONESIMUS TWINAMASIKO
The parliamentary committee on rules, privileges and discipline says it is yet to receive an official communication from the speaker of parliament Rebecca Kadaga regarding her directive to investigate the conduct of Bugangaizi East MP Onesimus Twinamasiko over his comments on domestic violence.
The vice chairperson of the committee also Kitagwenda Mp Agaba Abbas says they are waiting for written guidelines from the speaker of parliament Rebecca Kadaga before summoning Twinamasiko to appear before the committee.
Yesterday, the director of communications and public affairs at parliament, Chris Obore said Kadaga had ordered the committee to inquire into the video clip circulating and quoting MP Twinamasiko as having said “as a man it’s good touch and beat a woman.”
